Today, God loves the world through us, through each one of us. In the Scriptures it is written that God loved the world so much, that He gave His Son, Jesus, who became like us in all things except sin, and who came to the poor, you and I, to give the good news:-

  • that God loves us,
  • that we are somebody special to Him,
  • that He has created us for greater things: to love and be loved.

And we read in that Scripture where God speaks: ‘I have called you by your name. You are mine. Water will not drown you. Fire will not burn you. I will give up nations for you; you are precious to me. I love you.’ And He says: ‘Even, even if a mother could forget her child, I will not forget you. I have curled you in the palm of my hand.’

It is good to remember this, especially nowadays when there’s so much fear, so much pain, so much suffering, so much distress.

It Is good to remember that God will not forget you, that He loves you, He loves me, and that Jesus has come to bring us that good news.
