Through this initiative, organised by Aid to the Church in Need (ACN) and its 24 national offices, we aim to provide some spiritual consolation to the Burmese people and to pray for the restoration of peace, to show our solidarity and to remind them that even in the darkest hours, hope and faith can be a light for the world.
“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the sons of God” (Matthew 5,9)
Our prayers can transform us into instruments of peace.
During these 24 hours, we invite you to join in spirit and in prayer, asking God to touch the hearts of those who suffer, who search for peace and who have the power to transform the situation in Myanmar.
Symbols of solidarity
Hold an hour of adoration: Take a moment of silence to pray for the victims.
Light a candle: Each participant lights a candle during their prayer time.
Pray a decade of the rosary for all the bishops, priests, sisters and catechists working untiringly to console the Burmese people
