As Ukraine faces war and crisis, the Catholic Church in the country is determined to remain and minister to the faithful during their hour of need. ACN has worked with the Catholic Church in Ukraine for decades. We are committed to continuing to support the Church in Ukraine during these times. Since the full-scale invasion on 24 February 2022, ACN has approved 630 projects amounting to over €16.5 million.

ACN is supporting the Ukrainian Church

Aid to the Church in Need (ACN) has supported the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church since the Cold War. Since the fall of the Iron Curtain, ACN’s work in Ukraine has only increased in scope.

ACN has pledged over 16.5 million to support Catholics in Ukraine during the current crisis. These packages include:

  • Supporting 4 Greek Catholic eparchies and 2 Latin Catholic dioceses in Ukraine.

  • Supporting the ministry of 4,879 priests and male religious throughout Ukraine.

  • Supporting the mission of 1,350 religious sisters in Ukraine.

  • Supporting the Church’s work with refugees, orphans and the elderly.

ACN remains in contact with our Church partners in Ukraine. We are determined to continue to provide support to the mission of the Catholic Church in Ukraine as they respond to the current emergency.
